“A liquid liner so slick it almost
describes itself. Water-based, water resistant, quick and precise to apply.
Dries in 15 seconds to provide a sleek, long wearing, wet-look, no-smudge line.
The superior no-fuss, no-wobble application lies in the magic tip of the
easy-to-control dip-stick applicator.”

Superslick Liquid Eye Liner: £16.50: Here
I don’t know where to start really
on this. I used to use liquid eyeliners all the time, and then I moved on to
gel. However, I ran out of gel eyeliner after using it during the Black Pete
and Sinterklaas celebrations over here in Leiden and had to resort back to liquid.
I absolutely loved the colour; it’s one of the blackest liquid eyeliners I’ve
come across. Also, it has some serious staying power; it managed to survive a
bike ride in a torrential downpour which seemed to only soak my face. The
eyeliner was practically the only thing left, but at the same time it isn’t
difficult to get off. The brush is nice too, very flexible and quite small so
it’s easy to get some serious precision in.
But, but, but, but. M.A.C reckons
it dries in fifteen seconds and I’m not too sure that’s true. It doesn’t dry as
quickly as some of the other liners I’ve used and it ends up all over my lids
which then causes a ridiculous amount of crap and reminds me exactly why I used
to use gel. Also, it tends to leak into my eyelashes which means that my
mascara doesn’t look as good as it could do – which is gutting when you’ve
spent a fortune on mascara.
Overall, this liner is alright,
but I couldn’t go any further than just alright. If I could just buy the brush
again, I would, but I won’t be re-purchasing this, especially for the
extortionate price.

That is sad that it doesn't dry in 15 seconds, but I know that most such eye liners take longer to dry that is why I love cream eye liners
ReplyDeleteyeah they do, but i just don't think a product should make claims if they're not completely true. i love cream too, but i got given this so thought it was worth a try! x
DeleteSounds quite disappointing for the price x

DeleteOoh looks pretty but yeah, doesn't seem worth the price o

Deleteyeah, and everything is good about it apart from the price and the drying time! x
DeleteSo sad that the dry time isn't quick... that's one of the biggest negatives about liquid liner for me (and why I don't use it). Otherwise it sounds pretty darn perfect!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure but is there any way that once you're finished with this you could just wash the brush and then use it in a gel since you like the brush so much? It's always nice to be able to salvage and recycle these things when we spend our hard earned cash on it :)
