I’m not sure whether I should be petrified at the thought of turning twenty two in about a months time or not. I swear, every year brings a new pain with it. Me and my friends all agreed that hangovers suddenly become practically unbearable when you turn twenty, and turning twenty-one meant you were officially in your twenties. Twenty two just sounds like a bit of a bullshit age too, nothing really happens. Either way, turning twenty two means I have eight years to complete this list, which to be honest, means it should be pretty doable.
I like to think that these goals aren’t completely out of my reach. Some may be more difficult than others. For example, even though I have all the ideas for a book and it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, I’m not totally convinced my writing is any good or that I'll ever be able to find the time. Some are kind of out of my control and I can only hope they happen. Others though, are quite easy – like the ones that revolve around Birmingham. I can’t believe I’ve never had a curry in the Balti Triangle, it’s almost upsetting. No curry I’ve ever had has ever lived up to the ones I’ve had in Birmingham, and I still haven’t eaten one in the most famous area for it. How silly.
What are your goals?

Aww I really need to do my own version of this post, scary to think I'm only 9 years away from 30! :(

DeleteI love things like this, I definitely want to write my own list and get on with it (at 22.5 time is running out haha).
ReplyDeleteGreat list, I really want to write my own one, I guess I've got a wee while to think about it though, I'm only 16 after all. :)
